The meeting brought together team members from the media, public relations, and archives sections. Maryam Al Mazmi, Director of the Institutional Communication Centre, said the past year marked a significant milestone in advancing communication tools and expanding media messaging in line with the Sharjah Government’s vision of transparency and public engagement.
Among the highlights, the Centre announced the development of the Omran Podcast, expanding its scope to include deeper, more specialised engineering themes. The enhanced podcast will showcase field experiences, technical analyses, and expert discussions featuring engineers from within and outside the department, positioning it as a leading knowledge platform for urban and engineering affairs.
The meeting also reviewed plans to strengthen the quarterly Omran magazine by introducing modern media studies, specialised government communication analyses, and expanding on-site project coverage. The updates aim to enhance the magazine’s academic and professional value as a reference in public works and infrastructure management.
Outstanding employees were honoured for their contributions to media content, campaigns, and digital platforms. Al Mazmi emphasised that recognition fosters creativity and professional excellence.
Future plans include launching new media initiatives, improving communication performance metrics, expanding partnerships, and investing in advanced digital communication training.
